WAGES

All wages are presented based on the wage rates for each classification in the final year of the contract. To reflect present-day value, wages are inflation-adjusted to today’s dollars using the Bank of Canada’s inflation calculator.

For example:
The current top wage for a Station Attendant (L10) on today’s B scale is $23.36. Since this wage was established in the 2016 collective agreement, 2016 is used as the base year for inflation adjustment. Using this method, we determine that it would take $29.75 in 2025 dollars to match the purchasing power of $23.36 in 2016 dollars, as of June 2025.

This approach provides a more accurate comparison of wage progression over time, accounting for inflation and changes to cost of living.
